On March 24, 2022, Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) held a webinar for experts on preparation for the visit of the EEP to medical educational organisation. The moderators were Alissa Jakenova, Candidate of Medical Sciences, IAAR Project Manager for Institutional and Specialised Accreditation of Medical Educational Organisations, and Saidulaeva Malika, IAAR Project Manager for Institutional and Specialised Accreditation of Additional Education Organisations, as well as IAAR Leading Expert - Assoc. Prof. Saule Sadykova, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Dean of the School of Pediatrics, Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan). Among the participants of the webinar were representatives of the academic community from different countries.

The webinar programme consisted of two parts. In the theoretical part of the webinar, special attention was paid to the issues of the External Quality Assessment in accordance with the international IAAR standards. Particular attention was given to the principles of student-centered learning and internal quality assurance (IAAR Standards based on WFME Standards, ESG). The practical part of the webinar consisted of working with cases, assessing the compliance of the report of the educational organisation with the standards and criteria of IAAR accreditation, developing a review with recommendations by experts and a role play with focus groups.
