On 21 November 2025, the Adviser to the General Director of IAAR, O.A. Yanovskaya, took part in a meeting of the Supreme Collegial Board of Public Association “National Centre for Independent Examination” and contributed to the discussion of the results.
The meeting was attended by: the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Akmaral Alnazarova, the Chair of the National Centre for Independent Examination - G. Zhangereyeva, a representative of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development - B. Zhumadil, as well as heads of medical universities, medical associations of the country, and representatives of foreign centres.
The session focused on key issues related to the quality assurance of medical education and training, the role of independent assessment of nursing competencies in the modern healthcare system, and opportunities for integrating international practices of the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), USA, into Kazakhstan’s system for assessing the professional competencies of healthcare specialists.
