IAAR is the first organization from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education WFME.
The activities of IAAR comply with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) and the World Federation for Medical Education WFME.
IAAR conducts international institutional and specialised (programme) accreditation recognised at the national level in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Moldova. The Agency also conducts international accreditation in Russia, Uzbekistan, Romania, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Dominica, Barbados, Belize, and Switzerland, and awards its Quality Label in other countries.Its mission is to ensure high quality of educational services through international institutional and specialised (programme) accreditation of educational organisations, as well as conducting ranking studies.
IAAR is a member of European, Asian and American quality assurance networks and organisations: the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education INQAAHE; the US Council for Higher Education Accreditation CHEA International Quality Group CIQG; the International Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence IREG; Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education CEENQA; the Asia-Pacific Quality Network APQN.
