2020 EHEA Ministerial Conference

On November 18-20, 2020, the 2020 EHEA Ministerial Conference was held. The delegation from Kazakhstan included the IAAR General Director Zhumagulova A.B. The Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by the Minister of Education and Science - Aimagambetov A.K.

The Conference was attended by more than 3,000 participants, 48 Ministers of Higher Education, Council of Europe, European Commission, EQAR (The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education), UNESCO, EURASHE (European Association of Institutions in Higher Education).

The Communiqué adopted at the Conference on the further development of the higher education system until 2030, which includes important directions: the creation of conditions for equal access to higher education - inclusiveness; introduction of new methods and practices of training connected with scientific researches - innovation; expansion of international cooperation, academic mobility of students and teachers for exchange of knowledge and best practices. Also at the Conference Recommendations for Ministers of Education to improve the quality of higher education in the EHEA was developed and proposed.

On November 25, 2020, was organized the discussion of the results of the 2020 EHEA Ministerial Conference, conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at which the IAAR General Director Alina Zhumagulova addressed the important tasks of the Roman Communique - as a vector for the further development of the higher education system for the next 10 years.
