On October 20-21, 2020, the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an International Online Forum "Global in the Regional: Kazakhstan in the Bologna process and EU projects."

The forum is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Kazakhstan's participation in the Bologna Process and the 25th anniversary of participation in the EU Tempus and Erasmus + programs.

The forum was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aimagambetov A.K., Ministers of Education of the Central Asian countries, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) Colin Tück, General Director of the Independent Agency for accreditation and rating (IAAR) Zhumagulova A. and representatives of the academic community

IAAR General Director made a presentation: "International accreditation of the IAAR in the framework of the implementation of the Bologna process principles  and ESG standards", spoke about the principles of international accreditation and the Agency's achievements.

The participants discussed the spread of the Bologna Process principles, new trends in the development of higher education in the face of new challenges, the expansion of the autonomy of HEIs and a list of those changes that have made it possible to introduce the best foreign experience over the years and have a positive impact on the modernization of the education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
