On June 21, 2017 representatives of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) took part in a round table organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia at the International Specialized Exhibition Astana Expo-2017.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia, the Embassy of Latvia in Kazakhstan, the Academic Information Center and the State Agency for Educational Development (Latvia), the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), higher education institutions of Latvia , Kazakhstan and others participated in the Round table discussions.

The purpose of this event is to create an interactive platform for strengthening fruitful cooperation between ministries, government agencies, quality assurance agencies and higher education institutions of both countries.

Within the framework of the round table, constructive information was exchanged, opportunities for further development of cooperation were considered. At the presentation, the representatives of Latvia spoke about the priorities of higher education of the Republic of Latvia, the development of fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education, discussed the issues of recognition of diplomas, quality assurance of education and Erasmus + programs with the participation of Kazakhstan higher education institutions.

It should be noted that the Academic Information Center of Latvia (AIC) is an old and reliable partner of our agency. Within the framework of the signed memorandum between IAAR and AIC, work is carried out to exchange experience and involve experts in external quality assessment of higher education institutions. Our Latvian partners take an active part in various quality assurance procedures.

After the round table, all participants got acquainted with innovative green energy projects in the pavilion of Latvia.
