The Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) conducted a rating study of HEIs in Kyrgyzstan, based on a digital ranking technology of educational programs developed by the Agency.

IAAR has an effective system of rating studies of educational programs in areas and levels of training, which, since 2014, has been successfully applied in assessing the quality of higher and postgraduate education.

In 2018, for the first time, the Agency conducted a rating study in the Kyrgyz Republic to determine the positions of universities. The ranking of HEIs is the main indicator of recognition and authority of higher education institutions.

The Independent Ranking of Higher Education Institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic - 2019 presents quantitative and qualitative indicators of 19 educational institutions in 179 bachelor's (specialty) and master's degree programs in 19 areas, while the first rating study conducted by the IAAR in 2018 presented the results of ranking of 51 training programs for 17 universities.

Independent ranking of the IAAR takes into account the diversity of HEIs of the Kyrgyz Republic and their features, contributes to the growth of competitiveness of educational services and ensures public awareness of the degree of compliance of the education quality with market requirements, the qualifications of teaching staff and the effectiveness of university research activities.
