The first meeting of the IAAR Supervisory Board took place on June 6, 2017 in Almaty with all members of the Council w represented.

The Supervisory Board consists of:

- Dosmukhambetov Temirkhan, President of the Industrial Holding "Bayserke-Agro";

- Kobenova Gulzat, Deputy Director of the Department of Higher and Post-Graduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Astana);

- Tanbayeva Gulnur, Vice-president of JSC “Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical Center of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (Almaty);

- Ziyadin Aidos, Deputy head of the Central administration of the "Nur Otan" party (Astana);

- Igor Emri, Chairman of the European Scientific Committee of Engineering and Technical Studies (Republic of Slovenia).

At the meeting, a prominent statesman Dosmukhambetov Temirkhan was elected as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

The competence of the Supervisory Board is based on the control and development of recommendations to the IAAR management related to the strategic management and all-round assistance in the development of the Agency, performing public control functions and systematically introducing approaches to the IAAR's activities aimed at effectively meeting the demands of society and the state to improve the quality of education.

According to the program of the meeting, the IAAR management presented materials on the Agency activities, detailing the current tasks and strategic development until 2020. Director A.Zhumagulova also noted that the establisment of this structural unit under the national accreditation agency is an important step for further comprehensive improvement of independent accreditation, its transparency and effectiveness of the result - the quality of education.
