On June 14, 2019, the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) held the closing meeting of the Accreditation Council in the academic year. An important achievement of the IAAR is the expansion of the boundaries of the HEIs’ international accreditation in the countries of the EAEU and abroad.
IAAR, being a full member of a number of influential international, European networks and associations (EQAR, ENQA, WFME, INQAAHE, CEENQA, APQN and others), successfully conducts international accreditation of universities and educational programs abroad!
IAAR is the first organization from the CIS countries that received recognition by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), which gives the right to conduct international accreditation of medical organizations and educational programs in accordance with international standards. The recognition of the IAAR by the World Federation for Medical Education, allows not only national but also foreign universities to pass to the IAAR quality assessment according to international standards.
At the meeting of the Accreditation Council of the IAAR on June 14, 2019, reviewed the results of the work of independent external expert commissions on international institutional and program (specialized) accreditation of not only domestic but also foreign universities:
- Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, one of the leading and only HEI of medical profile in Moldova, whose history goes back over 70 years.
- Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics (Republic of Tajikistan).
- «Ala-Too» International University (Kyrgyz Republic).
This great achievement of the IAAR speaks about the high authority of the Agency, trust and its recognition!
IAAR also conducts joint international accreditation with leading foreign agencies included in the National and European Registries.
For the IAAR today this is not the first experience of joint accreditation: for the first time in Kazakhstan, IAAR in 2017 already conducted joint international accreditation at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with a European agency - ACQUIN.
In May-June IAAR conducted at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University joint international accreditation with FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) - a long-standing partner of the IAAR.
The IAAR international accreditation of foreign universities and joint accreditation procedures with leading international agencies is a great success of the Agency, high authority of the IAAR and recognition of the IAAR activities in the international educational space!
