From December 1 to 3, 2023, the Winter Tom & Medical Global Forum (MGF) event was held, organized by the Kazakhstan Medical Students' Association (KazMSA) together with Astana Medical University. IAAR Manager Project for Institutional and Specialized Accreditation of medical educational organizations, Candidate of Medical Sciences Alissa Jakenova took part with the report “International accreditation - a mechanism for quality assurance of education.” The forum was attended by teachers and students from 8 medical universities, representatives of medical organizations in Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the Forum, a memorandum of cooperation between IAAR and KazMSA was signed. The memorandum includes a number of areas, one of the significant ones is the participation of medical students in the process of accreditation and the quality assurance of education. During this Forum, a meeting of medical students was held for the purpose of exchanging knowledge in the field of innovative technologies and teaching methods, and an exhibition of social and scientific projects of Kazakhstan medical students was organized. At this exhibition, students presented their developments in the following areas: reproductive health, medical education, peace and human rights, public health, scientific and professional exchange with foreign medical organizations.
