The annual workshop and general assembly was in Zagreb (Croatia) on 28-29 April 2017 at the University of Zagreb. Host of this meeting was the Agency for science and higher education (ASHE, Croatia).

Information and analytical project manager of IAAR Myrzagaliyeva A. participated in the seminar and general assembly.

On April 28, the seminar was held on the topic "Ways forward to make external quality assurance a more efficient process". After the welcoming speech of President of CEENQA Dr. Iring Wasser, Director of ASHE (Croatia) Professor Jasmina Havranek and Rector of University of Zagreb Professor Damir Boras, Nora Skaburskiene (Slovakia) and Maria Weber (Austria), Melinda Szabo (EQAR), Daniel Wörhoff, ASIIN (Germany), Dhurata Bozo, Public Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (Albania), Sandra Bezjak, ASHE (Croatia), Professor Enver Halilović, HEA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Ivan Leban, SQAA (Slovenia), Bjørn Stensaker (Norway) made a report.

On April 29, 2017, at the general assembly reports were given on the status of Tempus/ERASMUS+ projects, finances, as well as reports of Board Memders, CEENQA members and others. In addition, in the general assembly, Iring Wasser’s term as president of CEENQA ended. Through voting, Nora Skaburskiené was elected to the post. Two Board members, Ivan Leban and Martina Vidlakova, were re-elected for another two-year term and a new Board member, Duska Radmanovic, was elected. Christina Rozsnyai stepped down from the position of General Secretary and is succeeded by Marleen Roggan.
