There was a visit of ENQA experts to obtain a full membership.

The group of experts of European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) have visited the IAAR agency on June 12-14, 2016. Experts of ENQA were evaluating the activities of the IAAR on compliance to the Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) in order to obtain a full membership of ENQA, and further inclusion on the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR).
According to the program of the visit, the experts ENQA met and talked with the main stakeholders of education in Kazakhstan, including students, employers, university rectors, representatives of MES RK, with experts and staff of the IAAR.
Also all the documents and standards of IAAR governing the procedure of independent accreditation of higher education instiotutions in Kazakhstan were analysed and studied.
The visit of such professional European experts has helped to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, which served as a stimulus for further improving of the IAAR.
