IAAR Held a Training Seminar for New Experts
24.09.2026
On 23 September 2026, the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) held a training seminar for new experts focused on preparing them to participate in the work of external expert panels.
The seminar was moderated by Gulfiya Nazyrova, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Project Manager for Institutional and Specialised Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions, and Zamzagul Sultanova, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Head of the International Cooperation Project.
During the seminar, participants were introduced to the principles and stages of international accreditation of educational organisations and educational programmes, based on the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ESG) and the principles of student-centred learning.
Particular attention was paid to IAAR’s requirements for expert activities, the role and responsibilities of an expert as a member of an external expert panel, as well as the principles of objectivity, independence and professional ethics.
The practical part of the seminar was conducted in an interactive format. Participants worked on case studies focused on understanding IAAR standards and criteria for specialised accreditation, analysed self-assessment reports of educational organisations, and developed recommendations for improving their activities.
The practice-oriented format of the training enabled future experts not only to acquire the necessary knowledge but also to develop the skills required for effective work as members of an external expert panel.
IAAR expresses its gratitude to all seminar participants for their active engagement, interest and commitment to professional development and for their contribution to improving the quality of education and fostering a quality culture.
