On October 11-13, 2021, the international conference  «Tel Innovations  and Quality in Education»  was held as part of the KUTEL project «Kazakh  Universities to foster quality assurance processes in Technology Enhanced Learning»  on the basis of the International University of Information Technologies in the city of Almaty, in which representatives of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) took an active part: Advisor – Prof. O.A.Yanovskaya,  Director General Director for International Cooperation – Dr. T. Kanapyanov, and Head of the Information and Analytical Project – Dr. N.A. Kydyrmina.

The main purpose of the conference was to discuss the processes of reforming and modernising higher education in Kazakhstan through the implementation of a national quality assurance system for teaching through the use of technology, ensuring the improvement and implementation of accreditation standards, as well as aspects of guidelines/procedures for quality assurance of technology-based courses and educational programmes on national level.

IAAR Advisor Prof. O.A.Yanovskaya spoke at the conference with a presentation "Modern Trends in E-education Quality Assurance within the Framework of the KUTEL Project", in which she paid special attention to the external assessment of education quality in universities in the context of on-line learning and global digitalisation of the educational space, presented a comparative analysis of foreign experience by taking into account the adaptation in Kazakhstan.

Head of the Information and Analytical Project Dr. N.A. Kydyrmina took part in the discussion of the achieved results and further actions on the work packages WP5 Management, WP3 Quality Assurance, WP2 Development of QA Policy on TEL, WP4 Dissemination & Еxploitation within the framework of the KUTEL project.
