On December 6-7, 2021, DEQAR CONNECT conference was held on the topic "From Data to Policy - Linking Quality Assurance and Recognition", organised by the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) in an online format. IAAR Deputy General Director for International Cooperation Dr. Timur Kanapyanov took part in the conference.

The conference was designed to feed the project findings into policy making for the EHEA, bearing in mind the EHEA key commitments and policy goals.

The following topics were discussed within the framework of the conference:

• Key results of DEQAR CONNECT
• Integrating DEQAR in Automatic Recognition
• Informing Policy-Making through DEQAR
• Using DEQAR for research and analysis
• Keeping DEQAR Linked Up and Future-Proof

IAAR has been a member of the DEQAR CONNECT project since 2020.

DEQAR European Register is a register of educational programmes and educational organisations accredited by European-recognised quality assurance agencies. The main goal of DEQAR is to better inform the world community about accreditation agencies recognised at the European level, as well as about universities that have successfully passed international accreditation.

All IAAR accredited educational institutions and study programmes are included in DEQAR database of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

The inclusion of educational programmes and educational organisations in DEQAR confirms their compliance with ESG and is the basis for the recognition of accredited educational programmes in the territory of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
