IAAR took part in UNESCO Regional Consultation Meeting on Quality Assurance for Western Europe (Geneva, Switzerland)

Director of the IAAR Zhumagulova A.B. and Manager of International Projects and Public Relations Kanapyanov T.E. took part in the UNESCO Regional Consultation Meeting on Quality Assurance for Western Europe that was held on 15-16 February 2018 in Geneva. The UNESCO meeting was held under the title "The role of quality assurance in higher education: challenges, development and trends".
The event is the preparatory stage of the Global Conference on Quality Assurance in Higher Education. Such activities on the quality of education are held in various regions of the world in order to get information about the problems facing the region and thereby to determine the issues to be discussed at the final Conference in November 2018 in France.
Within the framework of the regional meeting in Geneva, the following cluster of issues was discussed: quality assurance and diversification of higher education, the role of quality assurance in promoting sustainable development, the relevance of external quality assurance: accountability and improvement, quality assurance: internationalization and mutual recognition.
