Interest in the Rankings in the international educational space has grown significantly in recent years. Today Ratings play a special role in quality assurance of education and increasing the competitiveness of educational services. Kazakhstan has embarked on a trajectory aimed at the formation and development of Ratings.

The Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR ) has conducted the "National Rating of the Demand for HEIs of the RK-2020". IAAR  is the first and only organization in Central Asia that has successfully passed the international audit of IREG (International Observatory for Academic Ranking) and received a high status "IREG Approved" this year, which confirms the compliance of the IAAR  rating methodology with the international standards.

Entering the Ratings and getting into the Top List, taking leading positions is an indicator of high competitiveness and an important point for all HEIs in the republic. The society is interested in accessible and reliable information about the quality of education in the country's universities.

The Rating is not only a guideline for applicants and parents when choosing a HEI, but also a serious measure of the quality of education. The results of the Rating are interesting not only for those who are going to get higher education, they are in demand by employers, the state and the academic community.
