The first international accreditation of the IAAR of the near abroad HEIs

The Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating on April 6, 2017 is included in the Register of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. In accordance with the Procedure for Recognition (Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of September 29, 2015 № 670) within the framework of international accreditation, for the first time it conducts an external assessment of educational services quality of one of the classical, state universities of the Kyrgyz Republic - Osh Technological University named after M.Adyshev, which has a rich history of engineering personnel training since 1963.
On May 2 of this year, the External Expert Commission, chaired by the expert of the I category, Professor K.Sh. Shunkeev, has begun the procedure for assessing the compliance of the Osh Technological University with the established criteria of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating. Assessment of the quality of the University's educational services is carried out in accordance with the standards of the IAAR, developed specifically for the universities of the Kyrgyz Republic, taking into account the Legislative requirements of the state.
The decision on the results of the visit of the External Expert Commission to the Osh Technological University will be made by the Accreditation Council of the IAAR in late May 2018.
