24.10.2024
On October 24, 2024, the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) held a training seminar for academic experts to prepare for a visit to educational organisations as part of the External Expert Panel (EEP). Gulfiya Nazyrova, Project Manager for Institutional and Specialised Accreditation of HEIs, and Zhulduz Auezkhanova, Project Manager for Post-Accreditation Monitoring, introduced seminar participants to the main theoretical and practical aspects of the accreditation process, as well as the roles and responsibilities of an EEP expert.
The participants were acquainted with the established practice of applying the IAAR International Accreditation Standards and the Guidelines for Organizing and Conducting the External Assessment Procedure in the accreditation process of an educational organisation and (or) educational programmes.
During the seminar, participants were given practical assignments aimed at developing skills in reviewing self-assessment and EEP reports. Following the completion of these assignments, seminar participants engaged in a collegial discussion of the recommendations they had developed, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the university and its educational programmes.
This IAAR seminar served as an essential step in training experts, advancing their professional qualifications, and contributing to their personal development by providing new knowledge and skills.
