On March 15, 2024, a seminar was held on the topic: “Academic integrity as a factor of the quality assurance in higher education”, organized by the Higher Education Development National Center of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in which the Advisor to the General Director of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating, Yanovskaya O.A., took part, speaking with presentation “Promoting a culture of quality and academic integrity in the country’s universities.”

The speakers focused on issues of  quality assurance of training for graduates of higher educational institutions. The seminar actively discussed current issues of legal culture and literacy as the basis for the development of academic integrity of students, various aspects of regulatory support for academic integrity, modern approaches, methodology and tools for maintaining academic integrity.

The participants of the seminar were representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, rectors, vice-rectors for academic affairs, heads of departments for academic affairs, and teaching staff of the higher educational institution. Over 300 people from higher and postgraduate education organizations of the republic took part in the seminar. During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to discuss the problems of achieving academic integrity at a university, share their experiences, and identify further development guidelines for improving the mechanism and ensuring transparency at all levels of training and assessment.
