Webinar to prepare experts for the visit of the External Expert Panels to educational organisations

On July 2, 2021, the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) held a webinar to prepare experts for the visit of the External Expert Panels to educational organisations (moderators: IAAR Advisor on Strategic Development Prof. G.K. Iskakova and Deputy General Director for International Cooperation Dr. T. Kanapyanov). The webinar was attended by representatives of the academic community of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. The webinar included 4 sessions: "Expert and IAAR requirements", work with cases "Assessment of the conformity of the Self-Assessment Report to the Standards and Criteria of Specialised Accreditation and Development of a Review with Recommendations" and "Ensuring the Compliance of the Report of the External Expert Panel with IAAR Requirements and Development of Recommendations for Quality Improvement ", and role play " Conducting interviews with focus groups during a visit to an Educational Organisation". The main goal of the proposed sessions of the webinar is the formation of skills and competencies for reviewing the self-assessment reports of educational organisations on institutional and specialised (programme) accreditation; analysis and evaluation of educational programmes for compliance (non-compliance) with IAAR standards and criteria; formation of a report on the results of the visit of the External Expert Panel in accordance with the requirements of IAAR, etc.
