I CENTRAL ASIAN INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON QUALITY ASSURANCE IN EDUCATION

INFORMATION CIRCULAR

An Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (hereinafter - IAAR) and the Narkhoz University are hosting the "Central Asian Forum on Quality Assurance" on December 8, 2017 in Almaty city. The forum is planned to consider the pressing issues of improving the quality and competitiveness of higher education in Kazakhstan and the quality assurance system of the university with regard to world standards.

Parliamentary deputies of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, of its subordinate organizations, Kazakhstan and foreign universities, international experts in higher education and science, employers and students will take part at the forum.

The main goal of the forum is to create an international dialogue platform on quality assurance in education that promotes the extensive use of best practices in strategic planning, design and monitoring of educational programs, academic mobility, development of cooperation between higher education institutions (HEI), and formation of a professional community on external assessment.

Forum agenda:

1. Challenging issues of quality assurance in education in compliance with international standards.
2. Conceptual and regulatory issues of the development, implementation and monitoring of strategies for the development of HEIs.
3. Development of academic mobility in the countries of Central Asia.
4. Encouragement of HEI’s responsibility for the quality of services provided in the context of expanding academic freedom.

Forum working languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.

Upon completion of the forum’s work, all participants will be awarded a certificate of participation.

Travel and accommodation expenses shall be borne by the participant or the seconding party.
